Trust in the Lord.

We are to mirror God's character in all of our life.

March 11, 2026

“But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44 KJV)

Interesting scripture, we are to be examples to this world.  We are to reflect God in all that we do.  How we think, what we say, what we do, and how we act, others should see the God we serve, showing grace, blessing, and kindness to others and even those who oppose us.  Which is a pretty tall order.

This scripture is not merely a showing but a deliberate action of compassion, intended to break cycles of revenge and trusting God enough to see you through all situations and circumstances.

In the Bible, trust is a bold, confident, and active reliance on the character, promises, and power of God, rather than on self or human understanding.

Trust is the key, don’t you think, because why would anyone in their right mind love your enemy, or those who curse you or hate you or even persecute you.  We are to pray for them and trust God in the midst of it all, being examples for all to see. For we are to represent God’s character, who shows kindness to all people, good and evil.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV) It is something for us to work on!  God Bless. Amne.
