We all gossip. Some of us gossip less

Some of us gossip less than others.

August 27, 2023

We all gossip. Some of us gossip less than others. The Bible tells us not to gossip, and yet, we do. I have found that when we do gossip it is usually to put someone down and build our “self” up. Proverbs 11:13 says, “Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered.” James 3:6, 9 reads, “And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is an unrighteous world among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire by hell…with it we bless the LORD and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the likeness of God.” Today, try not to gossip, for if you cannot say anything nice why say anything at all, for gossip hurts and if you are honest you do not like to be gossiped about by others. So why do it? God Bless. Amen.
