We are told that nothing will be able to separate us from God. Romans 8:35, 37-39 says, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword…No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our LORD.” But I have found one thing that will separate us from our LORD. That is our SELF. When we do not acknowledge God, when we do not serve our LORD, when we turn our back upon the Lord God Almighty that is when we are separated from Him. Because WE push God away, God does not leave us. God does not separate from us. We do it! Maybe we need to assess how we are living out our lives and this coming year focus more on God than ourselves. It is something to think about. God Bless. Amen.
