We talk about the importance of love and how we are to be loving and kind people. The best definition of love I have found is in the Bible, from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a it says, “Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends…” Great definition! I want you to try something with me. Insert “God” where the word love is in this verse. Such as God is patient and kind…go through the whole verse doing this. Pretty amazing! Let us take it a step further. Now insert “I” where love is in the verse. “I” am patient and kind; I am not jealous or boastful; I am not arrogant or rude. Do you get the picture. Somehow, we fall short of what we are called to do and to be. Today, try being this verse…in fact try being this verse every day for the rest of your life. I wonder how life as we know it will change. Hmmmm. God Bless. Amen.
