What do you like best about yourself?

What do you like best about yourself? What do you think is your best quality? What gift has God given you? Is this gift, God has given you, the same as your best quality? On the other hand, do you even like yourself? Learning to like and love our self is a journey we all undertake, at some point. For some of us it takes longer to learn to like and love our self, than others. Sometimes words and explanations about how we need to love our self, just are not sufficient, for when we do not like our self; it is hard to comprehend love of self. The best way to learn to love our self is to learn to understand God’s love for us. When we read the scriptures, we find that God loves us unconditionally, just as we are. 1 John 4:19 reads, “We love because He (referring to God) first loved us.” Isaiah 41:13 says, “For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 43:4 tells us, “…Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you.” Thus, when we know and understand God’s love for us we then can begin our journey of learning to love our self, learning to like who and what we are. Today, and the next 6 weeks every day say these 5 affirmations (I love myself…I am loved by God…I accept myself the way I am…I am forgiven by God…I forgive myself) by doing this you will re-program yourself and learn to see yourself through God’s eyes and thus learn to love yourself and even like yourself. God Bless. Amen.
