When a tree has deep roots, it keeps

When a tree has deep roots, it keeps it from being uprooted during a storm.

When a tree has deep roots, it keeps it from being uprooted during a storm. You have seen pictures of trees in storms and have seen how the trees bend with the wind and are not destroyed. They bend and sway with the wind. They are strong because of their deep roots. When we have deep roots in God as the storms of life assault us, we too bend with the storm and are not uprooted. God gives us the strength and courage we need to keep putting one set in front of the other. Thus, we are able to weather the different storms of life. Psalm 91:1-5 reads, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, who abides in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence; he will cover you with pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday…For he will give his angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Sometimes we just need to remember how great our God is. He is there. He is always there for you, even the storms of life. God Bless. Amen.
