When I was around 5 years old, I

When I was around 5 years old, I remember, I wanted to fly like a bird.

June 21, 2023

When I was around 5 years old, I remember, I wanted to fly like a bird. On windy days, I would jump up into the air as the wind blew, trying to fly. I even dreamt that I flew back and forth along the couch—from one arm to the next. When I awoke from my dream, I was on the couch, and I asked my mother, “Did you see me fly?” She responded, “No, I missed it.” I said, “Mom, I really flew!” After that dream, I thought, “I can really fly!” Maybe you have yearned for something and yet, it never happened. Maybe you even prayed and prayed, yet the prayer never came to fruition. Maybe you even wished that it could and would happen still today. Sometimes in life, we just do not get what we think we want, desire, or need. Sometimes, we just have to make lemonade out of what life has given us. Putting a smile on our face and making the most out of the situation that we are in. Proverbs 3:5-6 reads, “Trust in the LORD with all of your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Remember God is with you in every situation and circumstance, even when you do not get what you want! God is still with you. God Bless. Amen.
