When you think of a Christian, what do

When you think of a Christian, what do you think of?

December 15, 2023

When you think of a Christian, what do you think of? Is a Christian someone whose behavior and heart reflects Jesus? Do you see them as members of Christ’s body? Because you know that they believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God. When you think of a Christian, do you see the way they live, is guided by Jesus’ values, which include showing love, mercy, and grace to others, even to those who are different in faith, action, and values. Do you see a Christian, as person who knows they are forgive, but when they make mistake, they ask for forgiveness and try to change that behavior. Or do you see a Christian as someone who says they are one way, but acts in a different way? Sometimes we need to take a look at how we think, act, and speak, making sure that our actions reveal our faith. Colossians 3:17 reads, “And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” James 2:17-19a reads, “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will how you my faith by my deeds.” Today, take an inventory of how you think, how you act, and what you say. Are you representing Christ in your life? Are your actions revealing your faith or are you saying you are a Christian and living a lie? It is something to think about. For if our actions reveal our faith. What do your actions really reveal about you? God Bless. Amen.
