When you were young did you ever say, “I’m not playing with you anymore!” “I don’t like you.” “You’re mean.” “I’m going home.” I think we all have. When we didn’t feel appreciated or liked, we left. As an adult, we do not do that. We stick it out. We turn the other check. We buck-up, shake it off, and move on. We adult. We don’t act like a child. Can you imagine, God acting like a child saying, “I don’t like what you are doing. You are mean, rude, hateful, sinning people. I am going back to where I came from. I am done with you.” When we act like a child, when we sin, when we fall short of what God has called us to do and to be, God never stops believing in us. Never does He stop loving us. Never does He quit forgiving us. Our God is all-powerful, almighty, full of love and compassion always and forever. God never gives up on us. Jeremiah 31:3 declares God’s love is everlasting. It states, “The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: ’I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with lovingkindness.’” Psalm 136 tells us, “His love endures forever.” So, keep in mind, no matter what you do, how you act, or what you say God’s love is never ending! And if you have wronged someone, or made a mistake, or sinned go to God in prayer. He is there. He is always there. Waiting. He never gives up on us. He loves us! God Bless. Amen.
