Our God is the God of all things
October 2, 2026

“Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you – majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?” (Exodus 15:11 KJV)
This is a powerful rhetorical question from the Song of the Sea praising God’s unique majesty and miraculous power. This is the song that Moses and the Israelites sang after God safely parted the Red Sea and defeated the Egyptian army.
In your life who can do the things God does? Who can calm your racing spirit? Who can give you peace when peace is nowhere to be found? Who can give you strength when you are weak? Who can give you courage when fear is ever present. Who can stop the anxiety of everyday life. Who can ease your broken heart? Who can lift you up when you are down?
Our society tells us to take a pill to calm our nerves. Go out and buy something when our life is difficult. Go out drinking to forget our pain. Go see someone to sort out life’s difficulties.
Sometimes we forget God is the God of all things. A very presence in times of pain, heartache, and trouble. God needs to be our ALL IN ALL. Not taking a pill, spending money, drinking away our problems nor trying to find the answer in someone else. Go to God—the God of all things.
These words, “Who is like you among the gods?” reminds us that nothing is greater than God! The key is to go to God in all things—big or small. Today, no matter what is going on in your life, remember God is there. He will see you through. You just have to go to Him. It is something to remember. God Bless. Amen.
