Why do we allow trivial matters to get

Why do we allow trivial matters to get in our way?

March 12, 2024

Why do we allow trivial matters to get in our way? Why do we focus upon unimportant things and let them consume our very thoughts? Why is it that minor things seem more important than what is truly significant in life? Why is it so hard to control our thoughts? Life is life. Things happen. I think that if we keep our eyes focused upon God then no matter what is transpiring in our life, whether it is a big problem or small one, God will see us through it. Therefore, let us keep our eyes focused upon Jesus, who both began and finished the race, for he never lost sight of where he was headed—sitting at the right hand of God. Remember how Jesus could put up with anything along the way, whether it was humiliation, shame, being beaten or spit upon, and then while hanging upon the cross he kept his eyes upon our God. Hebrews 12:1-3 reads, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Sometimes we just need to be reminded what we truly are to focus upon, and that is our LORD. For when we do this, everything else falls into place. God Bless. Amen.
