Why is it important to pray? Why do

Why is it important to pray?

June 21, 2024

Why is it important to pray? Why do some people pray, and others do not? Why do we pray if we do not always get what we are praying for? Prayer is not about what you can get from God. It is about communicating with God and God communicating with us. Through prayer we develop a relationship with God. It is only through our relationship with God that we grown into the type of person God wants us to be. Through our relationship with God that we can face all of life. The good, the bad, the not so good and the great things that occur in our life. Through prayer we become stronger, more compassionate, more loving, and kind. Through prayer we understand grace, mercy, and receive knowledge. So pray as if your life depends upon it, because it does. Pray without ceasing. Pray when you wake up, during the day, before each meal, before you go to bed and in the middle of the night when you cannot sleep. Pray when things are good. Pray when things are bad. Pray when you are down. Pray when life is amazing. Pray when you have sinned. Pray and pray some more. For when you are down God gives you strength. When you are sorrowful God gives you hope. When you are lost God shows you the way. When you are angry God gives you peace. When you are hurting God restores your faith. When you weak God enables you to keep putting one foot in front of the other. And that is why we pray. For it is only through God that we can face tomorrow. God Bless. Amen.
