Why is it so hard to forgive ourselves?

Why is it so hard to forgive ourselves?

May 30, 2023

Why is it so hard to forgive ourselves? God does, so cut yourself some slack! Do you ever wonder how God can love you and forgive you? With images of the things that you have done, cruel words you have spoken, and evil thoughts have occurred throughout your life. You think, I have done so many things that are wrong. And because you know the things you have done, it is hard to imagine God loves you, forgives you, and accepts you for who and what you are, right now this very moment! The Bible tells us, God loves you unconditionally, always, and forever. There is nothing, that you can do that would stop God from loving you. The problem lies in sin. If you sin, it separates you from God. God at no point stops loving you; it is the sin that creates the problem. That is why Jesus is so important in your life. Jesus came, so that we would all be forgiven. Jesus makes it possible for us to have our sins washed away and be able to come before God and have a relationship with our GOD. Psalms 13:5 reads, “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.” The problem is learning to accept that God loves you, always! God is there for you. All you have to do is go before Him confessing your sins. So turn to the LORD and he will deliver you; save you because of His unfailing love. (Psalm 6:4) Accept His forgiveness and accept that you are forgiven. God Bless. Amen.
