You are walking on the sidewalk, there is a ladder in your way.

August 7, 2024

You are walking on the sidewalk, there is a ladder in your way. Do you walk under the ladder or around? You know it won’t hurt you to walk under the ladder, but do you believe it? You are driving in your car; a black cat runs out in front of you. Do you turn your car around and go another way or keep going in the same direction that you were going. You know that it is superstitious to turn around and back track when a black cat crosses your path, but do you believe it? You get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. On the way back to bed you jump into bed quickly because of the fear of a monster under your bed. You know that this isn’t true nor rational, but do you believe it, because you still hurry to get back into bed. You believe in the LORD God Almighty. You know that He loves you and forgives you always and forever. You know God’s love is unconditional, unending, and unmistakable. You know this. You have been taught this. Scripture tells us this 1 John 3:1a reads, “See what kind of love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God, and so we are...” 1 John 4:19 says, “We love because he first loved us.” Thus, we say God loves us and we know God loves, but do we truly believe this? This is our journey learning to TRULY believe that God loves us always and forever. Now let that sink in! God Bless. Amen.
