You are Worthy.

Shake the dust off your feet and move on--you are worthy.

February 19, 2026

And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave the house or town.” (Matthew 10:14 ESV)

Have you ever ignored someone?   Have you ever been ignored by someone? Being ignored is the act of being intentionally disregarded, overlooked, or not acknowledged by others.  It is often manifested as a lack of response, avoiding eye contact, or the “silent treatment”.  It represents a conscious refusal to pay attention to your presence, needs, or communication, causing a feeling of being neglected or undervalued.  When you are ignored, you feel overlooked, shunned, or disregarded.  It is often described as being treated as insignificant.

In this scripture is shows a clean break, indicating they were not to carry the burden of rejection, being ignored, or guilt into their next mission.  When we are ignored, we are not to carry the burden of rejection nor guilt with us. We are to move on.  Because being ignored can have a significant impact on our self-esteem and self-worth, leading to feelings of inadequacy or unworthiness.

We must remember our value comes from God.  And in God’s eyes we are worthy, we have importance and values.  We are loved.  And that is what this scripture reminds us.  Shake the dust off your feet and move on.  You do not need to be shunned or ignored.  God Bless.  Amen.
