You get into an Uber or a Taxi

You get into an Uber or a Taxi trusting the person to take you wherever you need to go.

January 27, 2025

You get into an Uber or a Taxi trusting the person to take you wherever you need to go. You take your seat on an airplane and trust the pilot to fly you safely to your destination. You get upon a roller coaster trusting the person operating the controls will get you safely back to where you started. You trust these people even though you do not know them. You place your life in their hands. Trust means the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone or something. Trust also believes that another person will act consistently with the expectations you have for that person. When you trust someone, you rely on that person because you feel safe with them. Do you trust in God? Do you place your trust in God, in all areas of your life? Because you trust other people with your life, and you do not even know that person. Sometimes we forget to trust God with our life. Psalm 40:4-5 reads, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.” Psalm 9:10 says, “And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.” Psalm 28:7 tells us, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” Let us learn to truly trust God in all areas of our life, just as we trust people we don’t even know with our life. It is something to ponder, don’t you think. Learning to trust God TOTALLY! God Bless. Amen.
