You go into a store, this store has so many things to offer, it is like Christmas. You find all these things you want. But soon your cart is filled with stuff and more stuff. You only needed to get 3 things, and you came out with 25 wonderful items. Thinking all the while I need this stuff. I really do! But do you? Stores know how to display things that will entice you and lure you into buying stuff, because it looks so nice, it is hard to resist. Genesis 1:31 reads, “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.” God gave us life so that we might enjoy all things. Sometimes we forget to see the beauty all around us. We get so caught up in what we want and the things we think we need that we lose sight of what God has created. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting.” Today, look around you and see the beauty of God. It is there. Watch a magnificent sunset or sunrise. Look upon the water and see the ripples as the wind blows the water to and fro. Look upon the majestic mountains, or the rolling hills. Look up and see the beauty of the clouds as they pass by. Enjoy the birds as they sing their songs. Look around you. God is there, experience again God’s beauty. God Bless. Amen.
