You may have given up on something or given up on a dream because it just doesn’t seem to be coming into fruition—it seems impossible to obtain. Then as time goes by, our dreams can change. But there are times the things we want, our dreams, our hopes and prayers we will never get. We become sad, frustrated, and we lose hope. Garth Brooks sing a song called Thank God for Unanswered Prayers. The Chorus goes like this: sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers remember when you’re talkin’ to the man upstairs that just because He doesn’t answer doesn’t mean He don’t care some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.” And if that dream, that hope, that prayer does not come true what is important is to trust God. Because God is bigger than any situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Sometimes in life this is all we can do.
