It is Well..

It is well with my soul.

October 16, 2026

“Bless the LORD, O my soul: And all that is within me, bless his holy name.” (Psalm 103:1 NIV)

“Make it well with my soul, O Lord.” What a wonderful prayer.  Because sometimes things in life are hard to deal with. Things go wrong.  Things happen.  Life gets in the way.  And our emotions can get the best of us.  We get hurt, we get let down, sin clouds our judgement, forgiveness seems impossible, the crushing weight of guilt, shame, and past mistakes seems unattainable, and we pray, “make it well with my soul, O LORD.”

We pray to God and we ask for Him to make our soul, our being well, but we feel lost and overwhelmed by life’s circumstance.  Then something happens God lifts our spirit. Things seem better.

We pray, “You alone have answered my prayer.  It is well, it is well, with my soul.”  For God actively meets us in our deepest places of need. He forgives us and wipes the slate clean.  He heals and restores our broken spirit.  He rescues and redeems us of our despair and a destructive mindset.  He showers us with His love and mercy.  He satisfies our empty voids.  He renews our spirit and strengthens us.  He becomes our all in all and we give thanks saying, “Bless the LORD, O my soul: And all that is within me, bless his holy name.”  God is good.  God Bless.  Amen.
