All we have to do is turn on

All we have to do is turn on the TV and we hear bad news, lies, and meanness.

September 4, 2023

All we have to do is turn on the TV and we hear bad news, lies, and meanness. The Radio and Newspaper are full of it as well. It is sad to say, but bad news sells. Good news, news about kindness and helping one another tends to be less reported and less interesting. Trauma and tribulation seem to be a magnet to our psyche, our humanity, our being. Why is it? Why don’t we focus more on the positive, the good rather than the bad? Life is full of yuck, but I am here to tell you, life is full of good things too. Kindness certainly exists in abundance. Today, try focusing on the good, not the bad? Give thanks in all things. Praise the LORD. Look for the positive, the good things in life. Do random acts of kindness. Smile, say thank you, please, open a door for someone, tell those around how special they are, and if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. Ephesians 4:32 reads, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Let us make a difference. Let us be an example to others. God Bless. Amen.
