As humans, we are sinful by nature.

As humans, we are sinful by nature. We make mistakes and we fall short of God’s Glory. Books have been written about our sinful nature. One book in particular, is called the “7 Deadly Sins”. This book points out the sins that truly are our demise. These sins are lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride. At one point or another, we have all committed one of these sins. Sad but true. In fact, the Bible at different times tells us to refrain from a life of sin and to strive to be more God like. The problem is we all make mistakes and sin. No life is perfect but it has perfect moments within it. I think the key is to try to focus more upon God than yourself. Read the Bible, pray, be decent and kind toward others. Think decent thoughts, positive thoughts. Focus on the good. Be uplifting instead of tearing others down. Refrain from being negative, destructive, and a life of sin. It is hard, at times because the life of sin feels so good and we have been told if it feels good, it is ok to do. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 reads, “Stay away from every kind of evil.” But each person has to come to this decision. Each person has to want to follow God’s way. The choice is yours—how do you want to live out your life? God Bless. Amen.
