Be kind, it is the right thing to do.

Be kind, it is the right thing to do. Do you think you are a kind person? Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Kindness is considered a virtue. Kindness is an excellence of character that drives ethical decisions. People who are kind act that way, not for any reward or even recognition, but because it is the right way to be and act. In today’s society, not everyone is kind. I think that maybe we need to focus more on being kind to one another, instead of all the meanness that is occurring. Kindness is being concerned for others. Yet kindness has nothing to do with being a doormat, being taken advantage of. When you apply the meaning of kindness to the Golden Rule, it makes you think of kindness in a different way. Matthew 7:12, the Golden Rule says, “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.” Today, if you want someone to be kind to you, first you be kind. This behavior is applicable to everything in life. If you need a hug, give one. If you need to talk to someone, go and talk to someone. If you need comforting, give comfort. If you need to laugh, then laugh with someone. Do not return evil for evil—be kind—but never be a doormat. It is something to remember. God Bless. Amen.
