Cast Your Cares Upon God.

The hard part is learning to trust God.

March 9, 2026

“Cast all your anxiety on him (referring to Jesus) because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)

People commonly worry about their health, the health of a loved one, their relationships, their finances, their family, their friends, their pets, their work and even the future.  These concerns often stem from our need for security and safety.

In this scripture it helps us to understand, to realize that we are to entrust all our worries, fears, and burdens to God.  It urges us to stop carrying our anxiety, our worries and rely upon God.  Trusting Him to see us through the stresses of life.

The phrase “cast” implies a deliberate action transferring anxiety from oneself to God.  It encourages us to cast all anxieties big and small on God.  Helping us to understand, to believe, to realize that God is not a distant God.  He cares for us.  He gives us peace in the midst of our anxiousness.

This verse helps us to recognize our limitations and trust in God’s strength.  It offers us peace, enabling us to find comfort during difficult times.  The hard part is trusting God enough to cast our cares upon Him.  We forget that God is bigger than all situations and circumstances.  God Bless. Amen.
