Do You Believe?

The offer of salvation is universal, extending to all.

February 18, 2026

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:15 KJV)

In this scripture Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus, a Pharisee, explaining the necessity of believing and understanding why Jesus came into this world.  That the “whosoever” in this scripture is the offering of salvation, which extends to everyone, not just a few.  For when we believe and accept Jesus as the Christ the Son of the living God it is through our faith rather than relying on one’s own efforts or works.

So, the question is do you believe in God?  If so, what type of relationship do you have with God.  Is your faith based only on Jesus the Christ the Son of God.  Is your faith based on God the Father mainly.  Is your faith based on the Trinity—Father, Son, Holy Ghost where you talk to all three? Or have you ever really thought about how or what you believe?

I believe that our faith is our lifeline in this life of ours.  In this verse it highlights that salvation is a gift from God, achieved through Jesus’ sacrifice, and received through faith. And when we believe we receive the Holy Spirit.  The question really isn’t about how you believe but if you believe.  God Bless.  Amen.
