Do you ever feel envious or jealous of someone?

November 11, 2024

Do you ever feel envious or jealous of someone? You wish you could have some of the things this person has—their lifestyle—their talent—their job—their car or truck—the clothes they wear—the way that person looks—their spouse—their child? When you get wrapped up in jealousy, it is a never-ending cycle, that can cause you heartache, frustration, and self-doubt. This mind set, will put you in a constant state of struggle. By wishing your life was different, which will cause you to think. how unfair your life is. You lose sight of what you have and what you have to offer others with your gifts and talents. You also lose sight of all the possibilities that God has given you. Proverbs 14:30 reads, “A heart a peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.” Being jealous means, you are not satisfied with what you have nor with what God has given you. Instead of being jealous or envious of someone else, we need to learn to be happy in our life and what we have accomplished. Then you can be happy for others and their achievements, but more importantly you are happy with who and what you are. It is something to think about. God Bless. Amen.
