Do you know God

To know God is to love Him.

January 26, 2026

To know, what does to know mean?  It means being aware of, through observation, inquiry, or information.  It is having direct cognition, understanding, or familiarity with facts, information, or people, often implying certainty, awareness, or the ability to recognize something.  It involves mentally grasping, retaining, and comprehending information.

If this is true, do you know God?  To know God means learning about Him, having a personal relationship with Him, trusting Him and learning to rely upon Him, wanting to live a better life through confession and willingness to serve God in all things, and striving to love Him more.  As you grow closer to God you learn to know Him.

See, there is a difference of knowing about God and to know Him. Because when you know God, it transforms your life and heart, it goes beyond intellectual understanding.  It is personal and intimate.  It is learning to walk through life with Him, thinking of Him, talking to Him, and sharing your love of Him and giving thanks in all things.  It is a journey and a way of life—because you give your life to Him.

Jeremiah 29:13 NIV says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Psalm 46:10 NIV tells us, “Be still, and know that I am God.” As we do this, we grow in the knowledge of God. (Colossians 1:10 NIV)Today, let us renew our desire of wanting to know God more.  God Bless. Amen.
