Do you like yourself? Are you proud of

Do you like yourself?

February 1, 2025

Do you like yourself? Are you proud of your accomplishments? Do you feel like you have self-worth? Sometimes we feel insecure. Sometimes we are unsure of what we are doing. Sometimes we doubt. Sometimes our self-worth is lacking. Why is that? These feelings of inadequacy? Inadequacy is when you have a persistent sense that you are not good enough, do not measure up to others, or lack the necessary abilities to handle situations, often coming from low self-esteem and leading to feelings of self-doubt and insecurity. These feelings can occur in only one area of your life—like cooking. Then there are the times when there are a few things in your life that you feel insecure about. There can also be times when life is overwhelming, and you feel self-doubt most of the time. I want you to think about this and believe it. You are worthy. Worthy means having or showing the qualities or abilities that merit recognition in a specified way. You have value. So, what, you do not do everything perfectly. You are still worthy. So, what if you are not perfect, you are worthy. You are loved. You are a beloved child of God. Do you not know that God says to you every day of your life, “You are my beloved child, I love you! I believe in you. You are precious unto me.” Isaiah 43:4 confirms this, “…you are precious in my eyes…and I love you.” Today know that God loves you always and forever. Know that God sees you as worthy and precious. So, what if you are not perfect. That is not what God calls us to be. What God wants us to do is love God and as you love God, you see yourself through God’s eyes. God loves you—you are worthy. Believe it. God Bless. Amen.
