Do you make lists, whether it is on

Do you make lists, whether it is on paper, on your computer, on your phone, or in your mind?

June 10, 2024

Do you make lists, whether it is on paper, on your computer, on your phone, or in your mind? Do these lists consist of daily chores and things to do? Do you mark off the items as you complete the tasks and after everything is done do you feel like you have accomplished a lot? Gary and I do this. The other day I had my list on the counter, I just walked in from mowing the lawn and was going to mark it off my list. Gary was standing there; he had marked it off my list. I said, “Hey that is my list. You can’t mark it off!” He said, “But I did!” We laughed. Seriously though, on your list is there any place for God—you know where you spend time alone with God? Sometimes we get so busy being busy that we forget to spend time alone with our LORD. Sometimes we think, “I just do not have the time!” Here is the thing when we spend time alone with the LORD God Almighty our life seems to go smoother. Things seem to be centered in our lives. We are filled with peace and confidence. Psalm 46:10a reads, “Be still, and know that I am God…” James 4:8a says, “Come near to God and He will come near to you.” Revelations 3:20 reminds us, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person and they with me.” Sometimes we forget to invite our LORD into our daily lives. It is something to think about. God Bless. Amen.
