Do you think you are a good communicator,

Do you think you are a good communicator, for the power of good communication can open many doors.

Do you think you are a good communicator, for the power of good communication can open many doors. Do you think you are a good listener, for the power of a good listener can heal many souls. Why do I ask these two questions because a good communicator and a good listener are fundamental to any healthy relationship? When you do not have these two skills, miscommunication occurs and sometimes a falling-out in one’s relationships. A good communicator speaks in the “I” and shares how one feels. A good listener keeps his or her mouth shut—not thinking of what to say next—but listens until the other person is done talking. Scripture tells us in James 1:18 reads, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” Colossians 4:6, “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” Proverbs 18:13 tells us, “To answer before listening—there is folly and shame.” Think before you speak and listen before you speak. It is something to remember. God Bless. Amen.
