Dr. Szabo was a family practice doctor, in Littleton, Colorado. He was a Christian—a man of God. His faith was very strong. Thus, he incorporated it into his daily practice. The one thing he believed was the importance of forgiveness. In fact, he believed that healing occurred through forgiveness. As he would talk with you about your ailments, he would also talk about forgiveness. Forgiveness is the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven. To forgive, is to stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone (whether it is yourself or someone else) for an offense, flaw, or mistake. Today is there anyone you need to forgive: a parent, a spouse, a child, a friend, a co-worker, yourself? Scripture tells us, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:14-15) 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Psalm 32:1-2 states, “Blessed is the one whose transgressions (SINS) are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is not deceit.” They say, to err is human; to forgive is divine. God forgives. So is there someone you need to forgive, go to God and forgive that person, whether it is yourself or someone else. Then let go and let God. Remember when you confess your sin. You are forgiven! Believe it, that is why Christ came into this world. It is something to think about. God Bless. Amen.
