Forgive Us!

Forgive me O Lord for I have sinned.

April 14, 2026

“We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6 NIV)

Oh Lord my God we bow down before you, asking for forgiveness.  Forgive us, O Lord.  Sometimes we find ourselves in a situation where we know the very thing we want to do is wrong and yet we do it anyway.  Forgive us.  Forgive us when we think of only ourselves.  Forgive us when selfishness is more important than You.  Forgive us when we put ourselves first.  Forgive us when we are rude.  Forgive us when we think hateful and mean thoughts.  Forgive us when we take our frustrations out on the ones we love. Forgives us when we make ourselves more important than You.

O Lord our God, give us peace in the midst of our humanness.  Give us hope when we take the wrong path.  Give us wisdom when our selfishness out weights what is right and true.  Give us courage when we are too weak to do the right thing.  Give us compassion when we want to lash out at others because we are frustrated.  O Lord our God You are our all in all.  We come before You, asking for strength, because at times we have gone astray.  These things we pray in Jesus’ name.  God Bless. Amen.
