So, who is God to you?
September 3, 2026

“But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.” (Psalm 59:16 NIV)
Who is God? God is the creator of all things? He is the supreme being, who is and was and will always be ruler of all things. He is our all in all. He is all powerful ,all knowing, unbelievable, undeniable, unchanging, always forgiving. He is understood as a loving Father, a guide, a sustainer, a redeemer, a counselor, and a friend. He is our hope in times of trouble. He is our shelter, our strength, our fortress, our refuge, and savior. He is the same yesterday today and forever. He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit now and forever.
Now who is God to you? Tough one. If your child, if a friend asked you, “Who is God to you” what will you say?
This scripture shows us what a wonderful God we have. Even when facing danger and our enemies God is there. This verse turns fear into praise, recognizing God as a safe shelter, and trusting God and God’s enduring love. But it also shows us of one’s relationship with God. So, how is your relationship with God? “Who is God to you?” It is something to think about. God Bless. Amen.
