“Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” (Proverbs 30:5 NIV)

This verse teaches that God’s words are completely reliable, tested, and true.  We forget this at times.  We begin to believe what the world tells us, the lies we hear, and we doubt who we belong to and who loves us.  

God acts as a personal shield, defender, and a safe place for us to take refuge.  The problem is we have learned to place our trust in others, things, and ideas, rather than in God.

God is the creator of all things—truth.  God created us in His likeness—truth.  God loves us unconditionally—truth.  God forgives us, always—truth.  God is with us in all situations and circumstances—truth. God wants the best for us—truth.  God is our comforter—truth.  God is our sustainer—truth.  God is our hope—truth.  God spoke everything into existence—truth.  God is our shield in times of trouble—truth.

God does not lie.  People lie.  Society lies. The media lies.  When we stay in God’s WORD, we find truth. Today, pick up your Bible read God’s word.  Listen to Christian music.  Pray and pray some more.  Tell God your problems, your joys, and your concerns.  Talk to God, be still, listen and remember you are a beloved child of God. God loves you and that is a fact—it is the truth.  Believe it for God’s word is flawless.  God Bless. Amen.
