God Does Not Change!

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

August 28, 2026

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrew 13:8 NLT)

“Jesus is the same” He is unchanging, steadfast, and consistent. His love, power, and truth do not shift with time.  Because he is unchangeable, we find comfort knowing God remains reliable while the world and our lives change.

Knowing that God is unchanging provides a vital foundation of security, trust, and peace in an unpredictable, changing world.

God’s promises are guaranteed, because God does not change, His word and His covenants never expire.  We will never have to worry that He will change His mind, revoke His forgiveness, or cancel His promises.

God’s character is dependable, even though we change constantly—moods shift, loyalties fade, and we break trust.  We even have bad days.  God is consistent.  His moods are not fickle where He suddenly becomes unmerciful or change His standards of justice and love.

God is a stable anchor in world full of chaos. When our health, finances, relationships, or the world around us becomes unstable God provides absolute stability. He is our anchor no matter how violent the storms of life are.

God’s truth is absolute in a world where morality and definitions of truth change, God’s truth remains fixed and unchanging.  This gives us a timeless moral compass and a reliable standard for right and wrong that isn’t dependent on modern trends.

That is why this scripture is so important for us to remember. God does not change.  So, no matter what happens in life, we have the assurance that God is with us!  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God Bless.  Amen.
