God is Good!

We might be unworthy, but God is good.

April 16, 2026

“Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:29 KJV)

Do you ever feel you are unworthy of God’s love?  Unworthy refers to our actions, and who and what we are, before a holy God.  Because of sin, we are unworthy.  The Bible teaches us that while we are unworthy of God’s love, we are never worthless to Him.  We might be unworthy, but God is good.

“We might be unworthy” acknowledges that no one is perfect nor can we “earn” God’s favor or His love through our own efforts.  As we acknowledge this it is a humbling recognition that we fall short of God’s holy standards.  We are sinners.  We make mistakes.  But God is good.

This scripture reinforces this by reassuring us that nothing can separate us from God’s love—even sin itself.  We sin. We fall short of what God has called us to do and to be.  We are unworthy, but God is good.  “God is good” means that God’s goodness is not just something He does but who He is—His very essence and nature.  There is no evil, injustice, or darkness in Him—God is pure, God is perfect, God is merciful and gracious.

What God wants us to understand, is that, no matter what is occurring in our life, God is there—even when we do not feel worthy or feel His presence.  For nothing will separate us from the love of God.  It is something we all need to remember.  GodBless.  Amen.
