God is with us.

God is with us even when we do not feel it.

May 6, 2026

“It is the Lord who goes before you.  He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV)

God goes before us—this signifies that God is not reacting to your future; He is already there, preparing the way and providing what you will need.  God is the God of all things—past, present, and future.  He knows all things and is in all things.  Even when we do not feel that God is there—He is.

In life, there are moments when we feel all alone, lost, confused, and unsure—our feelings tell us God is not there.  God is there. For God is not a feeling, God is truth and fact.  This is a profound perspective that shifts the foundation of our faith from internal emotions, which changes like the weather, to external reality of God’s nature and Word, which does not change.

Think about it.  We do not know how our life will or will not go, but God does.  He was and is right there with us, even when we do not feel it.  This scripture shows us that God always goes before us.  That He will be with us; that He will not leave us or forsake us.  That is His unchanging character.  For faith is trusting in the FACT of who God is even when our emotions are telling us something different—like feeling alone when the fact God is with us. God Bless.  Amen.
