God is With Us.

Sometimes we forget God is there.

“For the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, fear not; I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:13KJV)

In life, there are times when we need reassurance and help.  This is what this verse does.  It serves as a direct command to release anxiety, fear of the unknown, frustration, helplessness, lack of hope and give it to God.  It is then backed by the promise that God will be there to help you, guide you, and sustain you.

“Take hold of your right hand” in ancient times, signified strength, authority, and covenant making.  In this scripture it shows God grasping your right hand which means He infuses your weakness with His strength.  Think about how a parent guides a small child through a dangerous place—this is what God does for us.

“Do not fear” these words are to bring us comfort and assurance that God eliminates the reason to fear, because He is always with us.

“I will help you” implies that God will help us no matter what we are going through.  This verse does not depend on personal strength, but on God’s presence.  It promises that no matter how overwhelming a situation feels, you are not navigating it alone—God is there.  God is there.  This is something we all need to remember.  God Bless.  Amen.
