Happy, mad, sad, and glad are feelings, they are neither good nor bad they just are. Anger also is a feeling; it can be a very strong feeling. Anger comes out in many different ways. Sometimes even the smallest thing can set a person off—lose control—say and do things that hurt another human being. With anger, you can punish those around you by giving them the silent treatment—trying to hurt them the way you are hurting inside. Or you can yell and hit things around you when anger dictates to your emotions. Learning to deal with one’s anger in a healthy manner is the key. The choice is ours to make. Ephesians 4:26 reads, “In anger do not sin? Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.” James 1:19-20 tells us, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” Ways to learn how to control and deal with your anger: see a counselor, journal, pray, meditate, count to 10, go to a different room and calm down, and most importantly go to the person and talk through your feeling—remember feeling are neither good nor bad. They just are. It is something to ponder. Today, maybe it is time to let go and let God—face your anger, deal with it and then move on—forgive—it is the key to happiness. God Bless. Amen.
