Have you ever been talking to someone; you

Have you ever been talking to someone; you say one thing and that person interprets what you said in a totally different way than what you meant?

Have you ever been talking to someone; you say one thing and that person interprets what you said in a totally different way than what you meant? Have you ever done something and the person you are with thinks what you are doing is wrong and inappropriate and that was never your intent. Sometimes in life, others misinterpret what we say or do. So how do you respond? Do you get mad and defend yourself? Do you give the person the cold shoulder? Or do you grant grace and mercy knowing that we all make mistakes, then talk it out with the person you are with, to help that person understand where you are coming from. Matthew 7:1 reads, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” Remember we are all human. We all make mistakes. We all fall short of God’s Glory. And sometimes we get misunderstood by what we say or do. It just happens—and when it does grant grace and mercy. Mercy is the act of withholding deserved punishment, while grace is the act of endowing unmerited favor. This is what our LORD and Savior does and shouldn’t’ we do the same? God Bless. Have a great day. Amen.
