Have you ever been told, “It is not your problem.” Sometime, in life, we see a loved one or someone close to us who is not making good choices. We see this person has a problem, or an issue and we want to step in and fix it for that person. We reason in our mind that we are helping the other person. That we can change the person for the better. All the while this person has not asked for our help, nor asked for us to fix the problem. See, out of our love we want to help a person get through those difficult times—but we can’t save anyone. Only the person, with God’s help, can save him or herself—not us. Learning to let go and let God is one of the hardest things to learn in life. Because we know what can happen to this person. We know how dangerous drugs are, alcohol is, gambling is, uncontrolled spending, overeating, bad relationship are. Psalm 46:19 reads, “Be still, and know that I am God.” So, we pray and pray. Setting limits and boundaries. All the while letting this person know we are there for them. Sometimes that is all we can do! God Bless. Amen.
