Have you ever felt lonely at a party?

Have you ever felt lonely at a party?

May 30, 2024

Have you ever felt lonely at a party? Have you ever felt so alone because you did not know where your future was heading? Have you ever felt alone even though you were with someone? Sometimes, others do not know what you are going through. You put a smile on your face, functioning as you always do, yet deep down inside your loneliness is so great you just want to crawl into bed, with the covers over your head crying out. And you cry out, “Help me!” Loneliness at times can overwhelm you and stop you in your tracks. And you lament in your loneliness and heartache. But you don’t stop doing the things you need to do—you just keep putting one foot in front of the other pretending that everything is OK. Matthew 11:28 reminds us, “Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” This is something we all need to remember so when you do not know what to do—go to God in prayer, when life becomes so overwhelming—go to God in prayer, when you are weary and in need of rest—go to God in prayer. When you are so lonely and you feel it closing in on you—go to God in prayer. God will give you the strength, courage, and hope you need to keep putting one foot in front of the other, for God is the one sure thing in life. It is something to remember. God Bless. Amen.
