Have you ever said, “I shouldn’t be saying this, but did you hear what she did?” or “Don’t say anything, but can you believe what he said?” We also make excuses when we share a secret that someone has told not to share, but we do it anyway. We trash that person, because we do not like the way that person acts, looks, or what he or she is saying! Sad but true. When we demean or tear another person down, it usually means, from a psychological perspective, we are trying to build our SELF up. Make our self look better than the other person. Scripture tells us we are not supposed to do this and yet we do it anyway saying that it is not wrong—to justify our actions. In Ephesians 4:29 it reads, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” It is something to think about? God Bless. Amen.
