Have you ever talked trash about another person?

Have you ever talked trash about another person?

Have you ever talked trash about another person? Do you talk about other people? Do you gossip? Do you let things slip that you shouldn’t? When someone tells you a secret, do you keep it? As people of God, we are supposed to have integrity. Which means the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles? Sometimes we forget how important integrity and honesty are. Sometimes we make excuses so that we can justify why we are telling someone something, knowing full well what we are doing is betraying another person. Or we say things that we do not know if what we are saying is true or not. While growing up my parent would say, “When someone hears your name what type of person do they think of? Remember your name is how people define you!” So, are you living up to your name? 2 Corinthians 8:21 reads, “For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the LORD but also in the eyes of man.” Leviticus 19:16 reads, “You shall not go around as a gossip among your people.” Proverbs 11:13 says, “A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.” Sometimes it is better to keep silent than speak of others in a demeaning way. It is something to remember. Amen. God Bless.
