Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire

Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

April 6, 2024

Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Hope is wanting something to transpire, for something to change. We hope for a lot of things. Good health for our loved ones and self, financial prosperity, things to go well with our job, for our children to make good and healthy choices. Some of us hope to learn how to forgive ourselves, for the wrongs we have committed. We even hope for better times to come. We hope, for life without hope is so very hard. Jeremiah 29:11 reads, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Psalm 42:11 tells us, “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.” Today, no matter what you are going through put your hope in the LORD. He will see you through the situation you are in. He will calm your spirit and give you peace—that peace which passes all understanding. He will give you courage and strength and yes hope. For with hope, we can face tomorrow. God Bless. Amen.
