How do you treat others? Do you treat

How do you treat others?

November 5, 2025

How do you treat others? Do you treat them with kindness, loving actions, are you nice, do you cherish them? Or do you snap at them when you are frustrated? Or are you the type of person who is mean and angry, taking your frustrations out on others? Matthew 7:12 says, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you? The Golden Rule is not about if you are mean to me, I will be mean to you. That is a negative way of thinking and is very unhealthy. The true meaning of the Golden Rule is about treating others the way YOU want to be treated, not how others treat you. The Golden Rule is essential because it acts as a summary of the Law and the Prophets and is a core principle for Christian ethics, emphasizing love, empathy, and action toward others. Jesus taught it to promote selfless behavior and challenge self-centeredness, urging others to put themselves in another’s position to understand how to treat them. It is a guideline for daily life in all relationships. Here is a thought, “People will forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel.” And when you think about life this way you understand how important the Golden Rule is. God Bless. Amen.
