I asked for all things and realized God

I asked for all things and realized God gave me life, so that I might enjoy the things I have.

May 17, 2023

I asked for all things and realized God gave me life, so that I might enjoy the things I have. “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” (John 16:24) When we are young, as we talk with God, we ask for things: a new bike, clothes, Xbox—material things. As we get older, we ask for strength, courage, wisdom, peace, good health, a good relationship, and yes, to win a million dollars. With age, comes an understanding that Gods is not a magical God, but a God of relationship, love, hope, mercy, grace, understanding, and forgiveness of our sins. Sure, we all want things, but we know that relationships are the most important thing in life. We realize having good relationships, being in a relationship with God, being kind and loving—forgiving those who have wronged us, is the key to life. Today, let us cultivate our relationships. Let us pray for one another. It is something to remember. God Bless. Amen.
