I asked God for all things so that I might enjoy life.

April 23, 2024

“I asked God for all things so that I might enjoy life. God said, “No!” I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.” Sometimes, we get confused. We forget that God is the creator of all things, including us—you and me. Sometimes we forget to look around us and enjoy the beauty that God has given us. Sometimes we forget to appreciate the things we have. Sometimes we forget to be thankful. Sometimes we are so wrapped up in ourselves we are not grateful for the things we have and those who are around us. Today, let us give thanks not only for what we have and those who are a part of our lives but to God as well. Scripture reminds us: “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (Psalms 107:100) “…give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18) “I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” (Psalm 9:1) Let us appreciate the things we have. Let us appreciate the day God has given us. Let us appreciate and enjoy! Let us give thanks! God Bless. Amen.
