I first saw these words on my sister’s

I first saw these words on my sister’s bedroom door.

May 27, 2024

I first saw these words on my sister’s bedroom door. It was in the late 1960’s, it made an impression on me. The words are a quote by Dante they go, “Sorrow is sad, but there is no greater sorrow than remembrances of good times we once shared.” Memories are forever sacred and can never be taken away. They are a part of us. Some of our memories are moments of great joy that are accented by times of undeniable pain and heartache. In life we experience health and illness, life and death, joy and sorrow, but the greatest joy in life is the love that we share with one another. Love makes the world go round—such a cliché but it is true. Love binds everything together. The Bible speaks about love and how important it is in our life. Colossians 3:14 reads, “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Today let us be intentional about extending love, for where there is love there is life. Remember in love there are two things, us and our words. Let us not measure our love today, let us share it with all whom we come in contact with. God Bless. Amen.
