April 25, 2024

I look at the things that came from my mother throughout the house and reminisce about her. She was a great woman. She was intelligent, kind, loving, artistic, a teacher, and a great cook. Some of my memories are awesome and wonderful and then there are painful memories too. When I remember my mother, I focus on all the wonderful memories I have of her, not the ones where I have disappointment. Our memories can either enhance our lives or they can become very destructive and cause us to limp through life, because all we can do is focus on the bad, painful memories that occurred in our lives. This is where God comes in. God heals our broken hearts and transforms us into a person of health, courage, and strength. Psalm 147:3 says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Remember you cannot change the past. We all have painful memories, but we have good ones too. We also do not know what the future will bring. All we know is that there will be good things that happen and not so good. All we have is today. Let us make today an adventure, with action pack wonderful memories and a day to remember. God Bless. Amen.
