I miss my mother and father very much.

October 29, 2025

I miss my mother and father very much. They have been gone for a while. I think of them often, good thoughts, happy thoughts, loving thoughts. I was blessed to have them as my parents. They taught me about God, about right and wrong, about always doing your best, and so many other things. I miss our conversations the most, the laughter, the thought provoking and challenging exchanges and the down-to-earth wisdom. When my mother was alive, I talked to her every morning. When she passed, I then started talking to my father everyday around 4:00pm. I am an adult now, but if push came to shove, I miss being the child, where I could throw a temper tantrum and have my parents be the wise adults. I do not get to throw temper tantrums any more I have to be strong for my children, my husband and those around me. For I am now the matriarch of the family, my husband is the patriarch. And God, is the all in all, of all families. Ephesians 3:15 reads, “For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.” See, God is the head of all families. And so, when life is hard to deal with and you want to scream and shout, God is there. God is there for all of us—always. When we need to cry, when we need to express our pain and heartache, when we need to throw our 2-year-old temper tantrum, and when we give thanks and praise Him. God accepts us no matter what we are going through. So, turn to Him. He will see you through. God Bless. Amen.
